RIVER AREA DIRECTOR

The Area Director is responsible for managing all phases of Special Olympics area and local programs within the assigned geographic boundaries. The Area Director has the primary responsibility for the recruitment, supervision and training of a regional management team; for developing new funding sources, establishing new and enhancing existing relationships to benefit the Special Olympics Arizona (SOAZ) program; for implementing outreach strategies (e.g. athlete recruitment, meeting with schools and group homes); for supporting local programs and leading a quality sports training and competition program. OFFICE VOLUNTEERS

Special Olympics Arizona is seeking office volunteers to assist with light clerical and administrative support. Candidates should have excellent communication and organizational skills.  Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assisting with mailings

• Data entry

• Answering phones

• Filing

INTERNSHIPS

Special Olympics Arizona is always seeking motivated and responsible interns to assist the Events and Sports departments in projects and upcoming events.  These internships provide great opportunities for college students to gain valuable work experience in a fun, fast-paced nonprofit organization.  We will coordinate our available internships with any required course work.
